Newborn Photography can be tricky with older siblings sometimes but back in August when I came to Exeter Hospital to photography Baby Ozzi for his Fresh 48 Session, his big brother Enzo stole the show!
I can usually tell how a session is going to go within the first few minutes and when Enzo climbed up to look inside the bassinet at his little brother, I knew we had gold! He was so adorable, giving his new brother a stuffed giraffe and touching his toes. AHHH – a photographers dream.
Mom and Dad were wonderful as well and completely relaxed and just so overjoyed with their new little man. I loved watching their interaction with both boys and it was so fun hanging out with them.
Fresh 48 Newborn Sessions usually take place the day after delivery. When I come to your hospital room, I spend the first few minutes tidying up the room and yes, I rummage through your baby bag to see what you have for blankets and such that I can incorporate. This gorgeous newborn swaddle that mom had was the perfect blanket for this session. I just love how the color pops.
Ozzi had a nice full belly and was very happy to just hang out all snuggled up in his bassinet while I took his close up. Those lips and his eyes are just amazing and I was so happy that he was awake for our session.
Details, details, details…have I mentioned how much I LOVE detail shots. Those feet will only be tiny for a little while and those little fingers that are wrapped around dad’s hands. AHHH – this is why I love photographing newborns. Everything about them is too darn cute.
Exeter Hospital here in NH has some of the most amazing natural light and is one of my most favorite places to take pictures. There are some days that I just want to get out and “play” with my camera. A few weeks ago, I grabbed my brother to be my assistant so that I could photograph my own children. Usually, this entails a LOT of bribery AND a few meltdowns…but this day was so fun and they did such a great job (minus one wardrobe meltdown). This goes down as the best session that I have ever had with my own kids.
I tried out some new tricks (red light/green light and “tackle your brother”) to help with make these 3 interact and it worked like a charm. They had so much fun playing games, finding flowers and running through the fields that they forgot we were having a photo session.
As a Children’s Photographer in Exeter, NH, I pride myself on making my family sessions a lot of fun. I know how stressful it can be to “get the shot” but I guarantee that if we start off playing, by the end of the session, kids are having so much fun that they don’t want it to end.
Raynes Farm in Exeter, NH is one of my favorite spots in the fall to photograph families. I love the big open fields, walking trails, great foliage AND the big red barn that kids just LOVE to play around.
This night was so special to me and my kids are still talking about it. I was lucky enough to jump into a quick shot that my brother took and I am in love with it. No, it isn’t a perfectly posed photo – it is real and I LOVE IT!

I was on vacation when I got the text that Baby Cole was born this past summer and I was bummed that I wasn’t going to be able to do his Fresh 48 Newborn Photography Session in the hospital (he was a week early). Instead we decided on a fun In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Session the day after he got home when I would be back from vacation.
I was so happy that our timing worked out and I fell in love with this little guy as soon as I first held him. His little dimple is dreamy! Kellee had his nursery decorated in the cutest nautical theme with sentimental touches like a bear that she had as a baby. I just love personal treasures in a nursery.
My favorite place to photograph a baby in their home is in bed with mom and dad. It really gives perspective as to how tiny this little dude was. AND these candid shots show just how in love they are with this little guy.
Wrapping this little guy put him fast to sleep and he let me do whatever I wanted. Dad even asked if the could steal my wrap to use at night so Cole would sleep :). Nope, but I did help them figure out the awesome Swaddle Me Wraps that they had and I was told it really helped.
I can’t believe that this little dude is 2 months old already and is full of smiles! According to mommy’s latest Facebook post he loves the tubby, watching the fan and being outside seeing the trees. SLOW DOWN LITTLE MAN. All these cute summer babies are growing up way to fast!
Thank you Kellee and Cory for sharing your adorable dude with me and I am so happy to be able to watch him grow up.

I will never forget that day 16 years ago. It was a beautiful blue bird day with temperatures and not a cloud in the sky. It was also my second day of photography school at the Hallmark Institute of Photography. I had gone home to grab some lunch and when I arrived, I was greeted by the workers that were fixing my front porch – they were standing in the living room glued to the TV and as I turned to see what they were watching I saw the plane fly into the first tower (it was a replay of the mornings events but felt like I saw it unfold live). It was the worst image of my life and truly changed my life forever.
Back up 6 months earlier and you could find me on the stairs of the trade center eating my lunch. See, before I was accepted in the Hallmark Institute of Photography, I worked in customer service for a financial company in Boston. This job took me to New York City nearly once a week (my office was across from the trade center) and to California once a month (on American Flight 11 out of Boston).
On this faithful day in September, I realized that someone was watching out for me and I was so happy that I had chosen to follow my dream of becoming a photographer and enrolled in school. This day changed the world forever and I realized what an amazing gift photography was. Not only did these photos capture a moment in time forever but also for me the most amazing gift was to those children and family members of people who were lost that day. Photo albums and printed images of loved ones would be what people clung to in their time of sorrow.
Photography has always been a way to capture sentimental moments and I knew then, that I wanted to help people hold onto their memories for a lifetime. After graduating in 2002 I became a Family Photographer in New Hampshire and am now raising a family of my own while pursuing my lifelong dream of being behind the camera. THEY ARE MY WHY…AND YOU MY WHY! I became a photographer to preserve these memories forever and to put a smile on your face even in the most devastating times.
With everything going on in the world today, I wanted to share this very personal story with you and allow you to get to know me just a little bit more! These moments with my kiddos are so special to me.
If you are looking for a Family Photographer in New Hampshire, I would love to be a part of your family’s story. Let’s chat!
When people think of fall in New Hampshire, they think beautiful fall foliage, apple picking and cooler temperatures. As much as I LOVE the fall colors, the beach is still where my heart sings. Fall Beach Sessions are so much fun! There are no crowds, the temperature is lower, the humidity is usually super low (which makes for a great hair day) AND the sunsets are to die for!
As a NH Family Lifestyle Photographer, I love having fun with my clients playing on the beach. We jump waves, we play with trucks in the sand and do lots of twirling in those pretty little girl dresses. Last year, I had the pleasure of photographing the Peters Family and we had a blast! I love incorporating video in family sessions and these two kiddos hammed it up for me!
You can watch their full session here:

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and once again this year White Wave Photography will be donating 10% of ALL SESSION FEES AND SALES booked in the month of September to childhood cancer research! Last year, I told you all about my little buddy Super Joe, who was fighting Neuroblastoma and I am happy to report that he has KICKED CANCER and started Kindergarten this fall!!! He could not have done it without the help of donations made to the Jimmy Find Clinic and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Last year we raised over $400 to help fight this horrible disease. Let’s do it again!
Working as a New Hampshire Lifestyle Photographer, I meet so many different children each year and it breaks my heart when I see a little person struggling with a disease that is far too complicated for them to understand. This year, I had the great pleasure of meeting and photographing JACK JACK. This little guy is just 4 months younger than my Charlianne and they are actually in the same class at daycare.
His mom, Rebecca was kind enough to share his story with me:
This little guy has the most contagious smile and I had so much fun playing catch with him in the backyard of their Newfields, NH home. In his Red, Sox hat and favorite rain boots, we had a great day in the early spring sunshine.
