I adore my clients and I truly feel like part of the family after a session and REVEAL NIGHT. This family is no different. I met them through a mutual friend who recommended me for their daughter’s senior portraits and after a fun REVEAL NIGHT, they booked me to do their family photos the following weekend! I was so excited to be able to just hang out with them again :).
Just a few days prior, I had met Kaidin for the first time at his sister Kayley’s Senior Portrait Reveal Night and he made me laugh so hard. He is your typical 7 year old boy who is full of energy and constantly being silly (just like my own 7 year old at home)! I was “warned” that he might be a handful. I will tell you, I EMBRACE the CRAZY:). I actually love it! And this little guy did not disappoint and was full of fun the night of our session.
BEST COMPLIMENT EVER (from a 7 year old):
“We had a blast taking our photos with you! Kaidin said, “no one else is ever allowed to take his picture besides you”! :)” – Jennie Caldwell
The night ended with a little entertainment from the little clown in dad’s pickup truck!
I am just wrapping up this order and cannot wait to have their walls covered in canvases from this beautiful session.
Thank you to the Caldwell Family for making my job so much fun!

Each year I photograph a handful of high school seniors in the fall and I LOVE when they ask me to go somewhere that is special to them. During our consultation, Annie had requested something with lots of color and when I suggested that we go to Odiorne State Park, she knew it would be the perfect place. Growing up on the Seacoast of NH, she spent a lot of time at Odiorne State Park playing on the playground (mom even teared up during our session remembering her little girl on the monkey bars as a kid). Now all grown up, Annie was a BLAST to photograph!
Annie and I were chatting away while jumping over rock walls and crouching down in the gorgeous fields near the beach and I asked her what her favorite feature was…she said her eyes. I could not agree more. When I saw this image in the back of my camera I squealed (EEK). Those EYES are amazing!
EVEN IN BLACK AND WHITE THEY JUST POP!!!
As the sun started to set, we hit the beach and caught that gorgeous golden hour light I was waiting for. Annie shared with me that she is taking a photography class this year and I just had to get all “photography nerd” on her:). We talked about different gear, lighting, and posing.
As a Seacoast NH Senior Photographer, I spend a lot of time at the beach but I am a sucker for great foliage. This field of yellow flowers just off the beach drew me in and made for a perfect end to our beach session in Rye.

I absolutely LOVE fields. I love to photograph them, walk in them and I love how the colors change each season. When Kayley contacted me about doing her Senior Photos and asked if I knew of any places where we could do photos in a field, I knew we were a match made in heaven.
As a Winnacunnet Senior Photographer, I am always on the lookout for new locations. This summer, I spent a lot of time scoping out new locations for the Class of 2017!
Newfields, NH has the most amazing fields and farms so I had Kayley and her mom meet me at my house so we could “field hop” around the local places that I knew and loved. We started right up the road from my house where the flowers were still in bloom and the lighting was perfect.
Once we started shooting – she informed me that she was taking photography in school – EEK! I am such a photo nerd that I needed to give her tips and tricks as we were shooting.
Next we moved on to the fields behind Squamscot Beverages. I have spent SO much time wandering these fields that I knew the we would get some great shots and Kayley did not disappoint.
I am in love with the soft warmth of these images and how the light makes Kayley’s eyes POP!
Our final field of the night was one of my favorites. Vernon Family Farm has become my home away from home this summer and fall. I just LOVE hanging out there and love sharing this great farm with me clients.
As the sun went down, we ran around the farm jumping from one hay bale to another!
I am so happy that Kayley chose me to be her Senior Photographer and I hope she has a wonderful senior year at Winnacunnet! If you or someone you know is looking for a NH Senior Photographer please contact me today!
Fall is officially here and you know what that means…the Holidays are right around the corner. This means it is time to start thinking about gifts, Holiday Cards and decorating for Christmas. I know, I know it seems like summer was just here but we all know how fast that “white stuff” comes once the weather turns cold.
This year, I wanted to get my New Hampshire Holiday Mini Sessions announced nice an early this year to help you all plan for the upcoming season. This is something you can check off your list!
This year, I was lucky enough to score access to a Red 1953 Chevy Pickup truck courtesy of Tom Conner at Squamscot Beverages. He is not only letting me use his truck for Holiday portraits but is allowing me to shoot in the fields behind the bottling company!

Austin, Jimmy and I have been on one amazing journey so far and it is only going to get more exciting when Baby James arrives. “Go time” is right around the corner and today I met with Austin to reveal her maternity session and discuss her upcoming birth. I have been so honored that these two not only chose me to document their pregnancy but are really looking forward to having me capture their birth at Exeter Hospital in a few weeks.
Daisy and May will be big sisters in a few weeks and they completely took advantage of cuddle time with their human parents. I just love them.
Jimmy and Austin just ooze love. Jimmy takes such great care of Austin and is ecstatic to be having a little boy that he can tinker with in the garage and someday ride Harley’s with. I can’t wait to see his reaction when his son is born. When Austin found out that they were having a boy, she was brought to tears – the excitement overwhelmed her. Check out their Gender Reveal Party!
I remember a while back, Austin was doing my hair and came running over to show me her new tattoo. It was probably the cutest thing I had ever seen – she had a note that Jimmy had written her and it said “I love you”. She took it in and had it tattooed on her hand. I love it so much that I just had to incorporate it in their session!
As a NH Seacoast Maternity and Birth Photographer, I don’t always get to capture all of the moments of a pregnancy but in this case I am so glad that they have asked me to be a part of it! My cell phone is turned up loud and I am patiently waiting for the call that she is in labor. I cannot wait to meet Baby James!
