I first met Nate on the basketball court but not how you might think. He was reffing one of my younger son’s games, and I had no idea at the time that he was one to watch on the court himself. Fast forward, and Nate is now a standout player for the Blue Hawks Varsity Basketball Team, earning First Team All-State honors and leaving his mark on Exeter High School in more ways than one.
A two-time varsity basketball captain and member of the National Honor Society, Nate has shown that hard work pays off both in the classroom and on the court. His proudest moment? Winning a State Basketball award, a true reflection of the countless hours he’s dedicated to his dream of one day playing professional basketball in the NBA.
This summer, he’s looking forward to what he loves most: playing basketball and hanging out with friends. Nate’s dream job is to become an NBA player, and he’s off to a great start—next up, Norwich University.
Reflections on High School:
Nate says the best part of high school was hands down basketball, and the worst? You guessed it – homework. His favorite memory? Winning the quarterfinal basketball game which was a moment that captured the energy, teamwork, and dedication he brought to every game.
When asked who inspires him, Nate credits his mom and dad, while giving a big shoutout to his entire family for their support throughout the years.
As he prepares for the next chapter at Norwich University, Nate will miss the friends he made and the time spent close to family. But there’s no doubt that he’s heading into the future with big dreams, a strong work ethic, and the support of a proud community behind him.
