As a New Hampshire Lifestyle Newborn Photographer, I don’t get many opportunities to photograph twins so when I found out back in the fall that Jess & Brodie were expecting twin girls I squealed at the opportunity to photograph them! When I approached them about doing a lifestyle session in their home they were hesitant because “the house is too small”. This is a common concern from my clients and I am here to assure you that I can work with ANYTHING.
What is lifestyle newborn photography?
The first few days after leaving the hospital are a whirlwind of learning everything there is to know about your new baby and just soaking up the quality time together. Bonding and watching their little personalities develop is such an amazing experience. I love to come to your home and capture these special moments whether they are snuggling, feeding, sleeping, getting a tubby or just sitting together as a family. As much as I love cute baby props, I like to capture your baby in a timeless fashion, capturing these moments that will be remembered for years to come. There is nothing more innocent than a baby snuggled up in his mother’s arms. Or a little princess, lying on her parent’s big bed surrounded by her daddy and big brothers. These are the moments that I think are important to capture and they will be remembered for generations.
Just because you choose to have a lifestyle session in your home doesn’t mean that you will forgo the pretty swaddled posed photos. I still do these types of shots but they are very simple and more natural. White Wave Photography has several simple hats, wraps and blankets that we will provide for your session or you can personalize your images with your own items. You can see below, we used the girls crib to capture these gorgeous shots of them all sleepy and swaddled in two wraps that I brought.
In a more traditional lifestyle newborn session, I love to capture your newborn in their crib in nothing but a diaper or a simple white swaddle. Maddie was born only 3lbs 12oz and in the photos below you can really see how little she is AND she was almost a month old!
When I come into your home after just having a baby, my goal is to capture those special moments between you and your baby and make it as easy as possible on mom and dad who I know are completely sleep deprived. Madi and Cadi were a dream to work with. They loved snuggling with their parents and even let me get a few snuggles in.
After capturing the “final photos” of mom and dad with the girls I was about the head out and this happened…
In my opinion, there is NOTHING cuter than tiny newborns crashed out in their parents bed. Made & Cadi were pooped from being so adorable in their shoot and I just loved capturing this simplistic view of them.
