I am just getting back from a two week vacation and during that time, I got to celebrate with this beautiful senior and our family. Abby will be heading off to Boston for college in the fall and I was so honored last year when she asked me to do her senior portraits while the family was vacationing on Cape Cod.
There is nothing like the Beach at sunset. The breeze moves in and the light is amazing. It is the perfect setting for senior portraits and my favorite!
Abby has a contagious smile and we had a blast during her session. This location was to die for! We started with some photos at the house near the creek and the light and colors were amazing. Even her older sister jumped in for a few photos. Smiles all around!
Once the sun started to go down, we headed down to the beach for those coveted “golden hour” shots. She didn’t disappoint! She was simply glowing.
Here are a few tips for your senior portraits at the beach:
- Schedule your session at sunset when the sun will be low in the sky – this will ensure the best lighting
- Wear light weight solid colors – pastels and neutrals tend to be best
- Have fun and don’t be afraid to play in the water – you are only young once so let loose and have a blast in the surf (at the end of course)
Congratulations to Abby and all of the Class of 2016! May all your dreams come true!
