Each year I photograph a handful of high school seniors in the fall and I LOVE when they ask me to go somewhere that is special to them. During our consultation, Annie had requested something with lots of color and when I suggested that we go to Odiorne State Park, she knew it would be the perfect place. Growing up on the Seacoast of NH, she spent a lot of time at Odiorne State Park playing on the playground (mom even teared up during our session remembering her little girl on the monkey bars as a kid). Now all grown up, Annie was a BLAST to photograph!
Annie and I were chatting away while jumping over rock walls and crouching down in the gorgeous fields near the beach and I asked her what her favorite feature was…she said her eyes. I could not agree more. When I saw this image in the back of my camera I squealed (EEK). Those EYES are amazing!
EVEN IN BLACK AND WHITE THEY JUST POP!!!
As the sun started to set, we hit the beach and caught that gorgeous golden hour light I was waiting for. Annie shared with me that she is taking a photography class this year and I just had to get all “photography nerd” on her:). We talked about different gear, lighting, and posing.
As a Seacoast NH Senior Photographer, I spend a lot of time at the beach but I am a sucker for great foliage. This field of yellow flowers just off the beach drew me in and made for a perfect end to our beach session in Rye.
