As a new mom, the idea of packing up a new baby to head to a studio for photos can be stressful. This is why I offer newborn sessions at your home between 7-14 days after you bring them home from the hospital. There is no need to stress about what your house looks like, as a mom of 3, I get it. I often tell mamas that cleaning up after children is like brushing your teeth while eating Oreos – it’s impossible.
When I arrive at your home, I walk around to see where the best light is and we get started. For this session, we did the entire session in their beautiful master bedroom. I helped Austin change some sheets to get the perfect color pallet. We took advantage of Owen being PASSED OUT to get some cute detail photos. Placing him in the center of the bed shoes just how little he is! This is one of my most favorite shots to take. From there we invited the rest of the family and big brother James was more than happy to come snuggle his new BFF.
Toddlers tend to want to get in and out quickly (same with dads). I basically warm them up, get as many shots as possible as a family and sibling shots then let them move on. If they decide to come join us again, great! If not, it’s ok too. Their world has just been rocked so it is my philosophy to be their ally…we tend to be silly and I never pressure them for the perfect shot. 9 times out of 10 it just happens. Some of moms favorites from this session are the boys just staring at each other and I couldn’t agree more!
While the world had stopped due to COVID-19 back in April of 2020, here in Newfields, NH we put on one heck of a parade for a special little 4 year old who had just beat cancer!!!! Jack’s mom Rebecca had posted in the local community page asking for a special favor from her “tiny town” and boy did the town STEP UP!
“We would love to give him a parade to celebrate this milestone,” she wrote. “He doesn’t quite understand what this means, but our family would appreciate marking the day with something that makes him happy.”
The response from the community was overwhelming.
A parade of more than 100 cars drove by the Winter family home on Exeter Road Tuesday, honking, holding out balloons and signs like “Jack you Rock” and “You did it.”
As a family photographer in Newfields, NH, these types of events touch me to my soul and after meeting Jack and his family back when he was first diagnosed, I knew that I had to be there to capture this amazing event. There was not a dry eye in the whole town. The Newfields Fire & Police Departments did an amazing job helping to coordinate this “super hero” parade and people as far as Massachusetts drove to be a part of it!

Fall in NH is everyones most favorite time of year to update their Family Photos and if I am being honest. It is my favorite too!!! Not because of the foliage but because of the fun!
Family Photography in NH is special because we have the mountains, the ocean and the most beautiful fields around. Just imagine your kids playing in big piles of leaves or running through a field having a BLAST while I capture the smiles on their faces.
Your family photos should never be something that you dread and you should look back on these photos as treasured memories. I am ALL about fun in my sessions. We play games, use potty words (with permission of course – yes poop and farts get a rise out of EVERYONE – not just the boys LOL) and kids think it is HYSTERICAL when I make mom and dad do silly things.
Let’s CHAT and plan how your family can have just as much fun as this family did!

As a family photographer in NH, I specialize in Birth and Baby Photography but one of my favorite things is to photograph these babies years later when they are “big boys and girls”. I had the pleasure of being in the delivery room the day that Baby James was born and captured his birth story for his mama.
Austin and Jimmy have been so great to work with and their most recent lifestyle family session in their brand new home was no different. James is almost 2 (I cannot believe it) and it was so much fun the morning of our session. Right from the start he flashed me those gorgeous baby blues for the perfect shot that now hangs on their wall in the living room.
Just like with any “almost” 2 year olds, James quickly wanted to play. And I am down with playing. He took me up to his play room where he proceeded to have a blast making towers and knocking them over with daddy! There were some snuggles with mommy snuck in there once in a while too.
James is such a ham and his favorite things were jumping, running, rocking and chewing on mama’s hair – yup…he likes her hair lol. This is one of those things as a mom that you will look back on and it will tug at your heart strings. They grow up so fast!
Daddy’s mini-me was all about the snuggles with daddy which turned into wrestling…typical boys.
We could not forget the original fur-babies either. James and Daisy are besties and snuggled right up on the couch together. May would rather hang by herself and look from afar.
Austin just shared with me that every morning James will come downstairs to the wall gallery hanging on their wall and point to “mama”, “daddy”, and the doggies. This makes my heart sing! Thank you Austin for sharing your boys with me!

As a family photographer in NH I long for the first signs of spring. The winters are long here in Newfields, NH and I love to get outside and photograph my kids connecting, playing in fields and just enjoying each other in the warm sunshine. Spring is right around the corner and it has me planning for my upcoming spring photography sessions.
Last year was the first year that I photographed the apple blossoms and I fell in love!!! There is such a short window of time that these trees are in bloom but man they are gorgeous. This year, I will be offering very limited sessions in early May at a local apple orchard and will be announcing the dates and location later this month.
